Purposed Formation of the Town of Spread Eagle

Goal and Purpose:

To successfully form a Spread Eagle township to create opportunities for controlled responsible growth, sustainability and protection of natural resources and lakes, proactive prevention and rapid emergency response within township boarders (Fire station) and implementing sound fiscal management practices prioritizing fiscal accountability and transparency.

Benefits to the Community:

The Spread Eagle Barrens, multiple Lake Bodies, and the Menominee River system, are central to the proposed town's identity, serving as a focal point for social engagement and community cohesion.

Incorporating these waterways into the township's structure presents both significant opportunities and distinct challenges. From an economic standpoint, the natural environment offers benefits such as boosted tourism and recreation, increased property values, and a dependable water source. Environmentally and socially, the unique landscape necessitates specific goals and careful management to protect these resources and support the local populace effectively.

The impact on the remaining Florence township will be very limited regarding all major services. Florence county will receive the same financial contributions from the purposed Spread Eagle township to provide all essential services including education, EMS, etc.
